The list of books I want to read is never ending, so instead of making some unattainable goal or resolution, I've decided to list 14 of the authors that I am looking forward to finally reading in 2014.  

I've limited the number and required that each author have multiple books available. The 7/7 split of male/female authors was simple serendipity, and there appears to be a similar split between those who write primarily for YA/Middle Grade and Adult readers.

The order is alphabetical and the asterisks indicate that I currently own, but have not read, at least one book by that author.  I have read the Kindle chapter samplers only of Marissa Meyer's Cinder and Neal Shusterman's Unwind.

 I'll be updating my "Planning to Read" shelf over the next few days to reflect the almost 100 unread books I physically own (curse you, BookOutlet!).
